Video: Umpire Aleem Dar shows his batting skills

Batsmen hitting sixes during their batting practise is nothing new in cricket but if the same is done by an umpire, it is quite unexpected. Most umpires carry a cricketing background and there are many who have played cricket before taking up this job as a profession.

Famous Pakistani cricketer Aleem Dar is a former First-Class cricketer from Pakistan and a member of ICC Elite umpire panel. In the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 (T20) Qualifier match between Scotland and Zimbabwe at Nagpur, a clip of Dar was shown while he was playing a big shot during the practise session of cricketers. Without a doubt, Dar still looks quite fit and still has the ability to play big shots.

If Pakistan cricketers can make their comeback after retiring then why not umpire Dar. He might have hit that ball pretty well but its rare fact that during his First-Class days, the 47-year-old was known for his leg-breaks.
