Video: West Indies’ winning moment in ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup final 2016

The final match of ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 between India and West Indies at Dhaka turned out to be the most exciting game of the tournament as the game went on to the last over and the result was unpredictable. Batting first, Indian batsmen batted miserably for the first time in the tournament and bundled out for a score of just 145 runs.

Only Sarfaraz Khan scored a determined half-century and tried his best to get the team to a fighting total. On the other hand, West Indies didn’t start well and credit goes to the Indian bowlers as they were two wickets down for 28 runs. Further, there was a decent partnership of 39 runs between Shimron Hetymyer and Keacy Carty. After that, Indian bowlers once again stuck and took three quick wickets.

West Indies were once again under pressure but thanks to Carty and Keemo Paul, who played very intelligently and won the final against India. With this win West Indies registered their first Under-19 World Cup title and are now boosting with confidence. They are also the first team to defeat India in the tournament so far.
