Wasim Akram appeals to step up and contribute towards society

In recent years, cricketers have shown immense concern towards society. They’ve made the utmost use of their massive fan following and have drawn enormous attention towards the major concerns in the society.

In a tweet from legendary Pakistani bowler Wasim Akram, he appealed to people to step up and join The Akram Foundation (TAF) to lend their support towards the millions of flood affected people.

According to his tweet, in 2010 floods in Pakistan, over 20 million people were affected and in the succeeding year the floods again affected over 5.5 million. It’s a massive destruction and needs some serious attention. He pleads to the masses to make sure that this never happens again and assist his foundation TAF to ensure the same.

Akram’s organisation, which works towards the betterment of the society, aims to provide free education to children, sanitation and pure water in the remote areas of Pakistan.
