Why David Warner feels that “Mr Calm” MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will lift the IPL trophy!
There is very less margin for error in professional sports and the smallest of mistake can change a side's fate.
There is very less margin for error in professional sports and the smallest of mistake can change a side's fate. Herschelle Gibbs dropping Steve Waugh in the 1999 World Cup semi-final is still fresh in the minds. Australian cricketer David Warner too learned it the hard way. Leading Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), skipper Warner stepped on the boundary ropes while taking Virat Kohli's catch in their penultimate game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Warner was successful in taking the catch but failed to curb his enthusiasm and stepped on the boundary ropes in attempt to celebrate.
Failing to qualify for the playoffs despite of a good season, Warner thinks Mahendra Singh Dhoni's experience and calmness will help his side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win the IPL title for the record third time. The Australian left-handed opener took to his official Twitter account and lauded Dhoni's experience to win this year's cash-laden IPL.
Warner had a great season with SRH, where he amassed 562 runs in 14 matches and led the team in an inspiring way. The Orange Cap holder is confident that "Mr Calm" Dhoni's experience will be the differentiator.
CSK face a stellar task against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the second qualifier at Ranchi on Friday.
