Chris Gayle takes a dig at Kieron Pollard

The West Indian cricketers are known for their amazing bonding either they play together or against each other. Since the beginning of the eighth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), it seems to be a festive period for players but it is the Caribbean cricketers who enjoy the most.

Kieron Pollard is one of the most interesting characters amongst all the West Indies cricketers, and is known to have a great bonding with his West Indies compatriots Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo. But when he is playing against them, he turns out to behave like a true opponent and never leaves a stone unturned while sledging.

After yesterday’s match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), witnessed a blistering knock from AB de Villiers, Gayle replied to his Caribbean teammate Pollard for his last incident between them, where the latter had exchanged some words with the former. The umpires then asked Pollard to keep his mouth shut and the West Indian replied in a very funny manner by tapping his mouth. (Internal link, Pollard tape)

This time, Gayle didn’t sit back and after the match, posted a photograph with a MI poster in which Pollard featured and said, “you told me to put down my guns…but AB de Villiers had all the ammunitions!”

In return, Pollard replied in a very humble way, admiring De Villiers innings.

De Villiers prolific innings of 133 from just 59 balls sealed the deal at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday for RCB and kept them in hunt to qualify for the play-offs.
