His current form has made his the most run-scorer in a single edition of IPL after he surpassed Chris Gayle. Australian star batsman Aaron Finch who is currently playing for Gujarat Lions in the IPL has pleaded to Kohli to not bat with so much grace.

Kohli has been watching the ball carefully and has placed his innings sensibly, he hardly slogged the ball. Other cricketers too praised Kohli and tweeted:
