Cricket fraternity reacts on Twitter to Team India’s win in the Asia Cup 2016 final

The Indian cricket team on Sunday conquered first the daunting weather conditions and then a spirited-Bangladesh team to win the Asia Cup T20 2016 crown. The rain-marred clash, that was reduced to 15-overs each, saw Team India win the title for a record sixth time.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India restricted Bangladesh to the score of 120. It could have been a lesser total had Mahmudullah not belted quick runs in the final overs. Nevertheless, the total never looked threatening for the team, as it comfortably chased it down in the 14th over with Shikhar Dhawan’s 60, Virat Kohli’s 41 not out and MS Dhoni’s monstrous hitting in the end. The victory took India’s win tally to 10 in last 11 T20Is. Not only this, it has also made the Indian team firm favourites to lift the ICC World T20, which will be played in a week’s time. The entire cricket fraternity, which has been calling India as the strongest contenders for the premier event, wished the team after their emphatic win on Sunday. Here are some top tweets:
