Cricket fraternity reacts to Euro 2016 match between England and Wales

England and Wales have combined to form England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and play as unit ‘England’ when it comes to cricket. Even in Olympics, they are in the same camp as Great Britain but when it comes football, the neighbours are in opposite camps. Riding on Gareth Bale’s brilliant form, Wales made it to the Euro 2016 and found themselves pitted in Group B against England. The match garnered lot of interest all around, especially from the cricket fraternity. Few of the England cricketers hail from Wales, therefore, there were divided loyalties this time. Many from the cricket fraternity, especially the English, were busy on Twitter during the exciting game. Bale with a free kick in the 42nd minute got Wales one up and Jamie Vardy scored the equaliser for England in the 56th minute. It seemed the game headed towards a draw but Daniel Sturridge scored the winner in the extra-time.
