Sunil Gavaskar’s go-slow vs. Rohit Sharma’s blitzkrieg

Rohit Sharma was at his bludgeoning best when he smashed a record-breaking ODI innings of 264 off 173 balls against the hapless Sri Lankan team. India went on to win the match by 153 runs as Sri Lanka stood no chance in surpassing a mammoth total of 404 that the Indian team posted, thanks to Rohit.

In contrast, the 1975 World Cup (officially called the Prudential Cup) saw legendary Indian batsman, Sunil Gavaskar take almost the same number of balls i.e. 174 to score a slow 36* in a match against England. It was one of the most bizarre batting efforts!
