Ganesh Chaturthi is the Hindu festival, majorly celebrated in the Indian state of Maharashtra on a very big scale. During the festival, which usually lasts for 10 – 14 days, people install clay idol of Lord Ganesha at their homes and immerse it into a water source at the conclusion of the festival.

Outside India, United Kingdom is another place where this festival is celebrated largely among the Indian diaspora. On this special occasion, several cricketers wished Happy Ganesh Chaturthi from their twitter accounts. The Indian team will soon play their next series against South Africa, which will start from October 2.
