David Warner and wife Candice are expecting their second daughter

Australian star batsman David Warner and his wife Candice announced on Instagram that they are expecting their second child — another girl. The proud parents of the nine-year old Ivy Mae posted a picture of her holding an ultra-sound picture on their respective Instagram account.

The 28-year-old posted the following:

Warner, who is known for his prowess with the willow as well as his tongue, has proved to be a very caring father. Candice and Ivy Mae have accompanied him during his busy cricket schedule and he often shares his daughter’s pictures. Warner and Candice got married in April 2015, almost a week after Australia’s World Cup 2015 triumph.

This news comes exactly a week after his captain Michael Clarke announced that his wife Kyly is expecting their first child.

Warner will look to bring the personal happiness to the greens in Lord’s as well. Australia are one down in the ongoing Ashes series after losing the Cardiff Test. However, they have enough firepower to stage a comeback and Warner at the top has a key role to play.
