Delhi government to honour Sehwag and Gambhir among others during the fourth Test

The Indian cricket team has already won the Test series against South Africa and is ahead 2-0 with one Test to go. The fourth and the final Test, that will be played at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi, begins on November 3. It’s been a long time since any Test match has been played at this ground, as the last Test was played in March 2013 against Australia. After more than two and half-years, Delhi people will witness a Test and on this occasion, the Delhi government has decided to felicitate the capital’s heroes of 1983 and 2011 World Cup winning teams during the last match.

It was revealed by the co-founder and spokesperson of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with his tweet on Sunday.

Apart from the players from 1983 and 2011 World Cup, former Delhi captain Bishan Singh Bedi will also felicitated.

Hope this is not a political gimmick and an honest and earnest effort to honour the heroes.
