Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir does not share cordial relationship with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli. Both may deny it, but it is fact for everyone to see. Few years back during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between their sides, the two were involved in a heated argument on field and had to be separated otherwise a physical fight might have happened. In fact, a few months prior to that Kohli had replaced Gambhir as the vice-captain of the national side.

This year, during their fixture at Bengaluru, KKR made a comeback from behind to beat RCB from a precarious situation. A pumped up Gambhir did not hide his emotions during the match and apparently kicked the chair and hurled a few abuses even as Yusuf Pathan was hitting the winning blows. And now, he might have hinted at the animosity between the two with his latest tweet. READ MORE: 12 major controversies in the history of the Indian Premier League

On Sunday, as David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat RCB to lift the IPL 9 title, Gambhir took to Twitter to congratulate Warner and his team and at the same time took a possible dig at Kohli. He wrote: “Congratulations @SunRisers on winning @IPL Nice guys DO finish first. Well done. Bowler win u cricket matches be it any format @BCCI”, with emphasis on a bold ‘DO’.

Now whether or not Gambhir is taking a dig at Kohli, only he can tell. But prima facie it appears that he did take a pot shot at the Indian Test captain.
