Dwayne Bravo honoured with “third highest award in Trinidad and Tobago”

August 31, 2015 marks the 53rd Independence Day of Trinidad and Tobago. To make this auspicious occasion memorable and special, President Anthony Carmona, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Chief Justice Ivor Archie honoured the citizens with several awards.

Dwayne Bravo has been a prolific contributor to the game of cricket. To honour his performances, he was presented with the Hummingbird Medal, which is also the third highest award in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Bravo had a special date for the prestigious occasion — his mom. He expressed his glee by posting a picture of the duo on Instagram and wrote,” Bless to have my mom with me best date ever”

Later, Bravo thanked his fans and supporters for their valuable support by posting a picture along with the medal and wrote,” Receiving the third highest award in Trinidad and Tobago, the Hummingbird Gold, for my contribution to sport. Bravo has been an impactful all-rounder in whichever team he has featured. His presence brings stability in whichever team he plays and he deserves such high-ranked award.
