It is a known fact that Kohli’s father Prem Kohli died when he was just 18-years old. The day his father died off a massive heart attack, Kohli was representing Delhi in a Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka and had already scored an unbeaten 40. Kohli was left with two options, whether to cremate his father or to go and finish his innings for Delhi. No one expected but he walked in like an injured lion, played for 281 minutes, faced 238 balls and added 50 more runs on a bowling friendly track.

Both the captain and coach — Mithun Manhas and Chetan Chauhan were amazed with his dedication and since then he has never looked back.
