Glenn Maxwell to mentor a fictitious flourishing cricketer

Glenn Maxwell, one of Australia’s most promising cricketers is all set to add one more feather to his cap. A junior fiction series has him tutoring a young batting whiz and captain of a local cricket team, Will Albright.

The first two books of the Glenn Maxwell series, Glenn Maxwell 1: Lucky Break and Glenn Maxwell 2: Academy All-Stars written by Patrick Loughlin, a high school English teacher and writer are set to launch next month. The other two books of the four-part series, Glenn Maxwell 3: State Showdown and Glenn Maxwell 4: World Domination is slated to be launched in February 2015.

The series revolves around a talented young cricketer who considers Maxwell his hero, who in turn mentors him.

A big-hitting batsman, a wily off spinner, and an excellent fielder – Maxwell is a fine addition to Australia’s national team. He has played three tests, 34 ODIs and 24 T20s for Australia.
