The United States, as the world are aware, knows a lot more than most nations. They have eyes and ears everywhere to keep tab — discreetly and openly — of what’s happening in other parts of the world.
The United States has minimal interest in cricket, but apparently it seems that they still know a lot more than most people — even before the event. And that includes the final outcome of a World Cup match.
Even as the 2015 World Cup cricket match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh is under way, the US Embassy in Kabul tweeted, congratulating Afghanistan for its victory over Bangladesh. Mercifully, the account saw another post saying that it was “premature†though they are still cheering for Afghanistan.
The official account tweeted this first:

And later on apologised for the earlier ‘excited’ tweet:
