Warne’s best Pakistani XI:
Saeed Anwar
Aamir Sohail
Younis Khan
Inzamam-ul-Haq
Mohammad Yousuf
Shahid Afridi
Moin Khan
Wasim Akram ( C )
Saqlain Mushtaq
Shoiab Akhtar
Waqar Younis
On Imran’s exclusion, Warne from his official Facebook account (Official Shane Warne) wrote, “Just to remind you, I have to have played a meaningful game against a player before being selected. Hence no Botham, Richard Hadlee, Viv Richards or Imran Khan in any teams. I’m sure they will all make my greatest ever test team though, that will be the last team I select.” [Also Read: “Best friend” Clarke misses out berth in Warne’s greatest Australian ODI XI]
Warne also specified how hard it was for him to drop his leg spinning friend Mushtaq Ahmed and went for the all-round ability of Shahid Afridi.
He also mentioned about Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood who were pretty strong contenders for a spot in the side. Stay tuned for many more surprises from Warne as he continues to announce his best playing XI for more sides.
