IPL 2015: Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai, pick of the tweets

Mumbai Indians (MI) will play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 12th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 at Wankhede Stadium on Friday.  MI have lost three out of three this season, while CSK have won in both the matches they have played.

For CSK, Brendon McCullum has been terrific so far. The middle-order looks solid with Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo and in skipper MS Dhoni, they have in the side one of the best finishers of the game.

In the bowling department, Ashish Nehra’s consistent performance has helped the side. Mohit Sharma, Ishwar Pandey and Bravo have done well with the ball. Also, CSK have spin twins in form of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, both capable of giving breakthroughs. However Jadeja’s form, both with the bat and ball has been of concern late but he has the full backing of the team management.

MI on the other hand, have had a dismal season so far, both with the bat as well as the ball. After his classy 98 not out in the first game, Rohit Sharma has failed miserably with the bat scoring two consecutive ducks and with Aaron Finch out of the rest of IPL, things have turned from bad to worse. Finch’s injury paves way for Lendl Simmons, who had a great IPL previous year.

The only positive for MI is that Kieron Pollard and Corey Anderson, the two explosive all-rounders have struck form at the right time. The bowling has been rusty with Lasith Malinga lacking accuracy and the killer instinct of before. Harbhajan Singh’s injury is a greater concern and the team will want him back as soon as possible.

With three back to back losses, MI have an uphill task of beating a mighty CSK side but at Wankhede Stadium is their fort and they may just stage a turnaround.
