IPL 2015: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings at Bangalore, pick of the tweets

Bangalore is set to witness the battle of two Southern giants. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cross swords against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 20th game of the of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Both the teams have lost their previous encounters, while RCB faced a defeat in the hands of Mumbai Indians (MI), CSK were done by a dominant Rajasthan Royals unit.

For RCB, Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli failed to contribute at the top of the order. It was again AB de Villiers’ show, but his cameo couldn’t win the match. Maybe they should look to have bat higher. David Wiese had a superb debut, picking four wickets and also scoring runs down the order. It is high-time the top order provides a base for the middle-order to flourish.

The team will be boosted with the arrival of premium pacer Mitchell Starc. The bowling has been substandard from RCB, especially Varun Aaron and Abu Nechim. The duo went for plenty in the previous game and need to find their lost rhythm. Yuzvendra Chahal did his job while Wiese couldn’t hope for a better maiden RCB cap.

For CSK, the opening pair of Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith had a rare off. Suresh Raina and Faf du Plessis were also unsuccessful. It was the 91-run partnership between skipper MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo that took CSK to challenging score of 156.

CSK bowlers were taken for cleaners by Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane. Neither the pace attack nor the spin magic worked for the team. Dhoni will look to keep the same side. With the match being played at Bangalore, a high-scoring game is expected. We present you the pick of the tweets.
