Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play their first home game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 against table –toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Vishakhapatnam on Thursday. This game will mark the eleventh match of the IPL. Both the teams have landed in the city with identical results in their last game. While SRH registered a thrilling eight-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Bangalore, SRH on the other hand defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by seven wickets at Ahmedabad.
RR, with three wins in three matches, are placed at the top of the points table and will look forward to keep their momentum unscathed. For SRH, they had a diverse run with a lost and a win in their previous two encounters. Both the captains have led their team from the front.
SRH skipper, David Warner blasted a 27 ball 57 against RCB to notch their first win in the tournament. Shikhar Dhawan played a matured innings of 50 runs with K L Rahul to carry SRH over the line. Trent Boult took crucial wickets in the 19th over and probably rediscovered his mojo with the ball, on the other hand Bhuvneshwar Kumar too might have found some confidence from the victory against RCB. They would look forward to keep the momentum going as they almost have a perfect team to beat RR.
On the other hand, RR’s Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane and Chris Morris has already made a mark this season. IPL is a great platform for empowerment of talent and Deepak Hooda certainly proved it right. With strong performances with the bat and ball, the all-rounder has already showed that he is all set for the big league. No stone was left unturned in their last three encounters, their morale is lifted and everyone has peaked at the right time.
The clash between the two in form IPL giants is expected to be a thrilling encounter at Vishakhapatnam. Expect a run-feast. So a fierce T20 battle is on the cards and we present you with the pick of the tweets for the same.
We lost the match, but got to hand it to the team for making this a nail biting last ball finish #OrangeArmy #SRHvRR #SRH
