Despite the empathic win over Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) on Saturday, the Virat Kohli–led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) find themselves at the seventh position of the points table. They have to win at least six of their remaining seven games to keep their hopes alive in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).
RCB’s show this season has been dismal with Kohli fuelling the little that they have gained. Coming fresh from a hundred and donning the Orange Cap, RCB fortunes once again lie on their skipper. AB de Villiers was good in the initial few games and K L Rahul has impressed off late but it is their bowling that has let them down. Tonight, they are up against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Mohali. With three wins from nine games, the Punjab franchise are placed at the bottom of the points table, the only positives being they have won two of their last three games under new captain Murali Vijay.
KXIP bowlers have had an exceptional outing off late and it is no brainer that the contest will boil down to Punjab’s bowling and Bangalore’s super strong batting. Vijay has won the toss and going with the trend, has elected to field. While Kohli’s men set out to blaze a 200 plus score, we present you with live updates and best tweets.
