Justice Mukul Mudgal watches Indian Super League tie with Sourav Ganguly
Mudgal watches ISL tie with Ganguly
The Indian Super League (ISL) match between Atletico de Kolkata and Delhi Dynamos which ended in a goalless draw on Tuesday had a surprise visitor in Justice Mukul Mudgal. He watched the game along with former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who also happens to be the co-owner of the Kolkata team.
Deccan Chronicle reported that Justice Mudgal sat a row behind Ganguly in the team owner’s box. Ganguly and Justice Mudgal have worked together in the Supreme Court appointed commission which probed the Indian Premier League (IPL) match-fixing and betting allegations, and both share a good rapport.
Justice Mudgal is a sports buff, and earlier this month had acknowledged Ganguly’s contribution in forming the committee report.
“He has only given cricketing inputs. Ganguly’s inputs helped a lot,” said Justice Mudgal.
The Mudgal Committee has submitted its report to the Supreme Court on November 3 and the case hearing is still on.
