Earlier, Supreme Court (SC) found Srinivasan guilty of “conflict of interest” and has barred him from contesting in the BCCI Presidential elections as he is the owner of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The apex court also found Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and Rajathan Royals (RR) co-owner Raj Kundra guilty of betting and have ordered a three member panel to decide on punishment for the two franchises in the next 6 months.
