After posting a good total of 283 on board in the last One-Day International (ODI) against Scotland, Afghanistan bowlers didn’t get the chance of bowling because of rain. This is the second and final ODI of the series between both the teams and both the side will be looking to win the game anyhow. In the last game, Afghanistan openers failed to provide a good start but their middle order batsman did well later.
The last when both these teams encountered and played full quota of innings was back in the group stage of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Dunedin. Afghanistan clinched an emphatic in the thrilling encounter with Scotland in that and that was their first win in a World Cup match. Also, Afghanistan has won six out of nine times against Scotland in ODIs and would look to continue their domination over this team.
Middle order batsman Rahmat Shah and Najibullah Zadran played a vital role in posting a good total in the last ODI against Scotland. Rahman scored an excellent century while Zadran contributed with his quick 53-ball 89. Currently, Afghanistan have won the toss and will bat once again against Scotland in the final encounter of the series. Expect an exciting encounter at Edinburgh.
