Matthew Hayden mocks Ranchi pitch with a hilarious tweet

The second Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and Sri Lanka was played at Ranchi and the hosts registered a thumping victory. But what made most of the headlines was the outfield and the track at Ranchi. Also Read: Twitterati troll Ranchi Cricket Ground outfield for no grass

The pitch almost looked like a patch of sand and the outfield hardly had any grass on it. It had nothing for the bowlers and the outfield possessed a major threat of injury to the players. Cricketers and experts heavily criticised the venue as it was not the one that fans and players would have loved to see. As the third T20I is scheduled to be played at Visakhapatnam, which is a coastal area. Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden decided to dig fun at the venue by posting a picture of him at the beach and wrote,”It’s official there is more sand in Vishakhapattnam than on the Ranchi ground #bitoffun @StarSportsIndia #INDvSL”

Hayden possesses a good sense of humour and have shown it through this tweet. Some good outfield and a decent track can be expected at Visakhapatnam. As of now all eyes will be etched at the venue and it will be interesting what they have to offer for the decisive third clash on Sunday.
