Michael Clarke remembers Phil Hughes on Christmas Eve
Michael Clarke and wife Kyly paid tribute to their late friend, Phil Hughes on the eve of Christmas. The pair posted an image of a Phillip Hughes tribute candle and a framed photograph of the trio spending an evening together with a heartfelt message on their Instagram pages.
‘Today you will have Christmas with us bro,’ Clarke said in the post, which was later shared by his wife.
Twenty-five-year-old Hughes was struck by a bouncer at the back of his head during a Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 25. He passed away after two days, surrounded by friends at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney’s inner-east.
