Mohammad Amir makes a comeback in the Pakistan side: Twitter reactions

He made a mistake as a teenager, admitted, got criticised, faced punishment, returned to cricket and the drama still continued. Mohammad Amir’s story will surely be a Bollywood biopic one day but for now he has once again grabbed the headlines as he gets picked for the Pakistan side. Amir, who was earlier included in the national training camp, has now made it to the ODI and T20I squad for Pakistan’s upcoming tour of New Zealand.

For the first time Amir has been selected in the national side after serving his ban for spot-fixing in the Lord’s Test of 2010. Amir’s back to contention created a huge furore in the cricket fraternity in Pakistan. While the debate between Mohammad Yousuf and Rameez Raja got pretty ugly, ODI captain Azhar Ali even attempted to resign from captaincy and he was joined in the protest by Mohammad Hafeez. However the dust settled down later after the intervention of PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan.
