Mohammed Shami, Aaron Finch ruled out of IPL 2015

Injuries are part and parcel of a sportsman’s life. However what hurts most is when a player is in ripe form and his progress gets to a halt due to an untimely injury. Both, India’s Mohammed Shami and Australia’s Aaron Finch were probably playing at their peak before getting injured and getting ruled out of the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

After a dream ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Indian speedster Mohammad Shami, a key member of the Delhi Daredevils (DD) for the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Shami, who ended the mega event with 18 wickets, was rested against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the mega-event due to a knee injury, which ultimately gave Bhuvneshwar Kumar a rare opportunity to feature. The injury seems to have aggravated and now the fast bowler will miss the IPL.

“Shami is out of the tournament. He might have to go for operation. He should not have gone for IPL. He will take at least two months for recovery,” a BCCI official was quoted in a report from Press Trust of India (PTI).

On Wednesday, Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Aaron Finch also got ruled out for the rest of the tournament after sustaining a hamstring injury. While playing against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ahmedabad on Tuesday, Finch left the field after pulling his hamstring and didn’t take any further part in the game.
