MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi gives birth to a baby girl

India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi were blessed with a baby girl on Friday.

The baby made a premature arrival into the world — almost one month ahead of the due date. The delivery happened through a c-section and both the mother and child are doing fine, according to PTI. The baby was born in Gurgaon at Fortis Hospital on Friday evening.

Dhoni married Sakshi Rawat on July 4, 2010 and has been constantly by her globe-trotting husband’s side. However, she did not tour Australia this time on account of her pregnancy.

Sakshi was understandably elated in anticipation of the D-Day, sharing with her Twitter followers the number of days left for the baby to arrive. Her last updated was on February 4 which said “54 days left”. Don’t know if the couple had planned their delivery to ensure that Dhoni was not away on tour during the birth of his child, but what is certain is that the baby made a premature entry into this world.
