Wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha committed a faux pas on Friday as he posted a tweet wishing former India captain Sourav Ganguly happy birthday from his official account. Ganguly celebrates his birthday on July 8 and Ojha has been two months late in sending across his wishes.

Naturally, users of the social media website spotted the error quickly and each began pulling Ojha’s leg for the mistake.

Ojha, a top order batsman, has played one Test, one ODI and two T20Is for India. He represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket. In 135 first-class matches, the 35-year-old has scored 9152 runs at an average of 42.56 with 21 centuries and 52 fifties. In 127 List A games, he has 3855 runs at 32.94 with 8 centuries and 20 half-centuries. He has also played 170 T20s, in which he has hit 2706 runs and scored 13 fifties.

Ojha has also played in the cash-rich Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 113 IPL matches, he has 1554 runs with six fifties.
