It’s the New Year and as far as cricket is concerned, there’s loads of excitement in store. The countdown for the World Cup has begun. There’s the Ashes in England and later this year, fans will be re-introduced to game’s purest format, as Test cricket will be played in a new Day-Night avatar.
The ICC Cricket World Cup, which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will begin on February 14, with host New Zealand facing Sri Lanka at Christchurch. The tournament will feature 14 teams from around the world.
The year 2015 is set to be special in many ways and the cricket world welcomed the New Year by posting their wishes on Twitter.
