Cricket is a game of uncertainties and expecting the unexpected is what the game is all about. One such instance was seen in Czech Cricket Union Pro40 League on May 31, 2015.

The match between Prague Cricket Club 2nd XI vs Bohemian Cricket Club, Prague 1st XI witnessed one of the most bizarre incidents that could have happened in cricket. Batting first Bohemians started their innings with two back to back ducks of their openers. The innings saw two more scores of zero by  no.4 batsman Imran and tail-ender Deepak Joshi. Arun Ashokan was the only player who scored some runs with an unbeaten 67 from 63 balls as the side managed to get a respectable score of 126.

The Prague CC 2nd XI started their innings in a similar fashion as their opponent. But to add to their woes, nine out of 11 batsmen got out without troubling the scorers. Only Aditya Jaiswal played a similar kind of knock alike Arun, as his team fell short by 72 runs. Aditya was unbeaten on 43 as his side managed a total of 54.

The match saw a total of 13 ducks, out of which nine were from Prague CC XI. Last year Indian team saw their six players walking back to the pavilion for a duck against England in a Test at Manchester and were bowled out for 152. On the contrary, six ducks has been witnessed five times in One-Day International (ODI) matches.

Similarly Wirral Cricket Club, near Liverpool got all-out for just three runs and thanks to those two leg-byes, who were the top scorer in that innings. In fact, 10 out of 11 players were dismissed for zero.

Czech Republic national cricket team became an affiliate member of International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000 and made a mark in their international debut in Division Five of European Championship in 2009.
