A 14-year-old boy bowled nine balls and got a wicket with each of the nine deliveries!

In December of 1967, a 14-year-old boy from New Zealand bowled nine balls for Marlborough College against Bohally Intermediate School at Blenheim and got a wicket with each of the nine deliveries!

Want to know the name of the boy? It’s Stephen Fleming. No, it’s not the Stephen Fleming who led New Zealand. The Stephen Fleming in question achieved the jaw-dropping feat six years before his famous namesake was born.

But what a feat it was! To achieve one feat in any match is considered memorable. Two achieve two hat-tricks in the same match is pure fantasy. To achieve three hat-tricks in the same match is surreal. And to achieve three hat-tricks of consecutive balls is a script written by the Lord himself. Nothing like this has ever been heard in any form of cricket anywhere in the world.
