Pakistan great Hanif Mohammad fighting for life

Former Pakistan captain and one of the greatest batsmen produced by the country till date — Hanif Mohammad is currently battling for life at a Karachi hospital. Hanif has been put on ventilator and is fighting a battle for survival.

As reported by PTI, he was admitted to the Aga Khan hospital last month after having respiratory problems and is currently on ventilator. “He is now on a ventilator and in intensive care unit,” his son Shoaib Mohammad said. ALSO READ: 12 things you should know about Hanif Mohammad

The 81-year-old former Pakistan cricketer is also called as the original little master because of his batting skills. He was diagnosed with lung cancer three years back in 2013. He fled to London for the treatment and returned home after getting well but the disease had already spread, according to Shoaib.

Hanif played 55 Tests for Pakistan and scored 3915 runs at 43.98. He is best remembered for his memorable knock of 337 runs, which still remains the longest innings in Test history.
