Pele speaks on what he knows about cricket

Cricket is a difficult game and not everyone’s cup of tea. Legendary Brazilian footballer Pele recently accepted that he needs to learn the gentlemen’s game in order to get a grasp of it. Pele was quoted in an interview from Times of India saying, “What I know about cricket is from what I have seen on TV once in a while. The star footballer last paid a visit to India 38 years back and is expected to be in the metropolitan cities of Kolkata and Delhi betweenOctober 11 to 17. He will also be meeting Indian star cricketer Sourav Ganguly and will be actively participate in a conversation with him.

Pele further said, “Yes, it is fantastic to remember that visit because when we set up the Cosmos team, we get a lot of players from Europe who travelled to India. The plane was full. When we reached Kolkata, our centre forward Giorgio Chinaglia (Italian striker) looked down from the window of the plane and exclaimed, ‘Oh, Pele, we cannot get down here. There are too many people out there.’ It was a fantastic and beautiful welcome. I will never forget that.”
