Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik tied the nuptial knot in a grand ceremony on Tuesday evening in Chennai. It was a Christian ceremony, which is slated to be followed by a Telugu-Naidu ceremony on August 20.

Bidding a happy adieu to her single life, Dipika hosted a private bachelorette party over the weekend. It was an all-girls affair, and only 15 of her closest friends were invited. The colour code for the party was pink, apparently her favourite colour.

The above photo is a documentary version, which shows the couple is deeply in for each other.

The ring exchange ceremony…  Dinesh Karthik kneels down and to slip the ring in Dipika’s fingers.

Dinesh Karthik and ace squash player Dipika Pallikal first met in February 2013 after Dinesh had divorced his first wife and childhood friend Nikita. The couple got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot after having been together for two years.

The two became buddies while training under the same trainer, Basu Shankar, but something dramatic had to happen for them to get closer.”We got to know each other at the gym, but there was nothing more, contrary to what most media reports seem to suggest,” said Dipika.
