IPL matches fixed? Hear what Preity Zinta has to say

A report in Indian Express on Wednesday wrote that Bollywood actor Preity Zinta had told the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that she suspected some of the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) players may have linked to suspicious activities like throwing matches during the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Preity, who is a co-owner of the franchise, took serious offence to the report and took to social media in clarifying what actually she said the BCCI. In a post from Facebook, Preity wrote: “This piece of article is completely false, libel per say, inaccurate and an irresponsible piece of journalism.”

Asking the media to not damage her brand’s reputation, she further wrote, “I really would like to know who these sources are in this story? I am very proud to be part of KXIP. We have the best team and support staff and under no circumstance will I tolerate slander towards me or my team, especially when it comes to our integrity. I will sincerely appreciate it, if responsible media do not try to damage our reputation and business by fuelling this false article. (sic)”
