#PutOutYourBats: In memory of Phil Hughes
New Zealand players pay tribute to Phillip Hughes at Sharjah.

After Paul Taylor, an IT worker from Sydney, put his cricket bat and cap out and posted a picture on ABC Sydney’s Facebook page on Thursday, as reported by the daily, thousands on Friday took to social media to pour their tribute in memory of the late Australian cricketer Phil Hughes.

Hughes, who passed away after sustaining head injury due to a freakish accident while playing in a Sheffield Shield match, was only 25-years-old.   Australian team doctor Peter Brukner said in a press conference that Hughes suffered a split artery after a ball hit his vertebral artery, while he tried to play a pull shot.
