Rohit Sharma hails the resilient spirit of his Mumbai Indians’ teammate Pragyan Ojha

MI skipper Rohit Sharma, who lifted the coveted silverware on Sunday, paid rich tributes to his India and IPL teammate’s attitude.

Pragyan Ojha, who plays for Mumbai Indians (MI), is one of Indian Premier League’s (IPL) most successful bowlers. He has 143 wickets in the Twenty20 (T20) format. Ojha, a left-arm spinner, has over a hundred Test wickets for India too and brings a wealth of experience to the MI side. The last few months haven’t been the best for the cricketer.

He was banned from bowling due to an illegal action but Ojha worked hard and remodelled it, making a comeback earlier this year. However, the bowler only featured in one game for MI that too the tournament opener and later lost his place to young Jagdeesha Suchith. MI, later became the champions and though Ojha didn’t play a major role in that, he was constantly cheering from the sidelines, sported a smile and trained hard.

Ojha’s last appearance for India was the Wankhede Test, which was Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell match. Ojha had picked up 10 wickets in the game but surprisingly never played for India again.
