Sachin Tendulkar is the Indian sportsman who Roger Federer admires most

They both are legends in their respective sports. Sachin Tendulkar and Roger Federer have a fan following unmatched. The Swiss legend is in India for the International Tennis Premier League (ITPL) and had personally invited the Little Master for his fixture against Rafael Nadal.

It’s a known fact that Tendulkar is a huge Federer fan and has often been spotted at Wimbledon during Federer’s matches. In an interview with Times of India, Federer spoke about his admiration of Sachin Tendulkar.

“Sachin Tendulkar is the Indian sport person I admire the most. I met him when he visited Wimbledon. He was a lot of fun to talk to — and he is a legend. Whenever I play cricket video games, I always pick Sachin as my batsman,” said Federer, who is playing for UAE Royals.

Nadal has been teamed up with the likes of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna in the Indian Aces, also the defending champions. Indian Aces defeated UAE Royals by 30-19 and Nadal pulled over a win against Federer by 6-5.
