Sachin Tendulkar mourns the death of Phil Hughes

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar mourned the death of Australian cricketer Phil Hughes on Thursday.

He tweeted on Thursday, “Shocked to hear about Phil. Sad day for cricket. Deepest condolences to family, friends and well wishers. RIP #PhilipHughes (sic)”

Hughes passed away on Thursday morning after succumbing to injuries. He was hit by a Sean Abbott bouncer, when he tried to play a pull shot in a Sheffield Shield match.

Cricket Australia officials said he that never regained consciousness and died in hospital in Sydney. Hughes, 25, was carried off on a stretcher at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Hughes would have turned 26, three days later on November 30. The news has shocked the cricket world and reactions have come pouring in from everywhere.
