Sachin Tendulkar surpasses eight million followers on Twitter

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in his 24-year cricketing career has set up and broken numerous records. He is a man of records undoubtedly in the field of cricket but today he achieved something which was not related to his field of mastery.

Tendulkar today crossed eight million followers on social media website Twitter. After joining Twitter in April 2010, the batting legend has kept himself active in the social media space and recently wished India in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. He even congratulated Australia’s Michael Clarke and New Zealand’s Daniel Vettori after the veteran duo had made their minds to hang up their boots from One-Day Internationals (ODIs) after the World Cup. The ‘Master Blaster’, who was the ambassador of the mega event that took place in Australia and New Zealand handed over the man-of-the-match and man-of-the-series awards in the final to James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc respectively.

Tendulkar has represented India in 463 ODIs, scoring a mammoth 18,426 runs, added to his Test tally of 15921 runs in 200 Tests. Unarguably he remains one of he greatest batsmen the sport has seen.
