Sarfaraz Khan’s 10-year-old brother Musheer to play at Lord’s

When the usual eight-year-old kids were busy going to school and watching cartoons, Musheer Khan made headlines in August 2013 after dismissing Indian star cricketer Yuvraj Singh in a friendly game. He is the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan — the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer and the youngest ever to represent in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Musheer, who made his debut in the Kanga League in 2013 and batted over an hour against professional cricketers, became the youngest player to appear in the league as he broke his brother Sarfaraz’s record of appearing there at the age of 10.

Now at the age of 10, he will be fulfilling the dream of what millions aspire for, as he travels to the Mecca of cricket and play at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. As reported by Mid-Day, Musheer received a sponsorship by Dubai-based businessman Shyam Bhatia’s ‘Cricket for Care’ organisation. It will be a 15-day trip starting August 3. In 2009, Bhatia had also sponsored a similar trip for Sarfaraz. Apart from playing matches, the 10-year-old will be trained by Level 3 coaches, one of them being the renowned former Indian pacer TA Sekhar.

Musheer bats right-handed and is a left-arm spinner. He aspires to bat like Sachin Tendulkar and bowl like Daniel Vettori. While time will tell us more about that, but one thing is for sure that he’s a real exciting talent.
