Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli off to Bengaluru ahead of Test series in West Indies

Indian Test captain Virat Kohli and his Delhi mate Shikhar Dhawan are back to their favourite business after a well-deserved break from international cricket. Both represents Delhi in Indian domestic cricket and share a good bond. Also Read: Sufi music keeps Shikhar Dhawan going

Both the players from Delhi have represented India in Under-19 side. Dhawan played for India in ICC Under-19 World Cup of 2004, while Kohli captained the side to a win in the 2008 edition. Mainstays for Team India, recently, they were in different camps in the final of Indian Premier League 2016. Dhawan’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had the last laugh in the final as they managed to defeat the Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Bengaluru. Also Read: Here is Virat Kohli’s fitness mantra

The duo are now headed to the same venue but this time will be in the same camp. With the four-match Test series coming up in West Indies, Dhawan and Kohli are currently off to National Cricket Academy to hone their skills and gear up for the same. Local hero and the newly appointed coach Anil Kumble is now all set to join the national side for this camp. Also Read: 

Dhawan posted a picture of him with Kohli from his official Twitter account while at the flight to Bangalore and wrote, “Off to Bangalore for the camp!!! Exciting times ahead @imVkohli!”

Dhawan is the opening batsman in Indian Test side and would look to continue his good run in the longest format of the game in the Caribbean after Indian Premier League.
