The electrifying game between India and Pakistan of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 which is scheduled to be played on March 19 at its revised location – Kolkata has already created a lot of fuss regarding the security of Pakistani players in India. The match was originally scheduled to be played in Dharamsala but political tensions in the beautiful hill station compelled the schedule to be revised and rearrange the game at Kolkata.

When India and Pakistan cross swords on the field, it’s more than a just a game of cricket. The tension is high and the ambience in both the countries is hair-raising. It is often seen that the cricketers from across the country receive a heart warming welcome and love when they visit the rival nation. On this occasion, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik spoke highly about the security rendered to them by India and also expressed his feeling about the love he received from the rival country. He also said that he was honoured to be in the country and was pleased with the security arrangements made for the Pakistani team.

On the eve of their warm-up T20 encounter against Sri Lanka in Kolkata, Malik was quoted by ANI saying, “I would like to thank the Indian government, security is very good.”

Malik got married with Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza and has often paid visit to India. On this he said, “My wife is from India. I come to India a lot, I never had any security issues. I am very happy to be in India, I always get a lot of love. I am honoured to be in India.”

Pakistan as a team have not performed well in the recent times. They had a miserable time in the Asia Cup 2016 where they failed to make it to the finals. They have the potential and the ability to bounce back and script a turn around. Malik is all set to get the status of the team back and regain the prestigious back.

Malik further said, “Yes, we are little bit behind if you talk about T20Is and little bit of ODIs as well. We are working, we need to improve our skills in batting and techniques. Soon we will be back on track. This is a great opportunity for us to perform well and bring Pakistan where the rest of the world is. It’s a new tournament; we are here to give our best.”

It’s a great gesture by Malik as he in centre of the fuss; he showed signs of some joy and happiness. As of now, all eyes are set on the most awaited game of the tournament between India and Pakistan at Kolkata on March 19.
