Sourav Ganguly bats for social cause

Cricketers and sport stars enjoy an enormous fan following around the globe and their fans are highly influenced by them and tend to follow their footsteps. A lot of cricketers have taken the initiative towards the betterment of the society and eradicating the problems from the grass root level. One such initiative was taken up by former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly in improving the quality and infrastructure of schools in India by lending his support to ‘Support My School’campaign.

In the above picture, Ganguly is seen hitting the ball out of the school premises in a recent event for NDTV ‘Support My School’ Campaign at Kheadaha High School. The picture was posted on Twitter by Indian Cricket Team to convey their support towards the wonderful campaign. He visited this school which is among the 500 revitalized schools in India.

Ganguly has always been keen towards the development of sports in India and also emphasized on the fact that better schools will generate champions for the country as school is the breeding ground for any budding talent. He also expressed his joy, “This initiative is creating future champions for the country. I am happy to be a part of this”, he spoke on the official page of ‘Support My School’ website.
