Twitter reactions: Mumbai Indians lift the IPL trophy for the second time

When the two Indian Premier League (IPL) heavyweights, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) qualified for the finals, everyone thought that it would be a closely fought contest. But it was a brutal show of dominance by the Mumbai side. In what was a one-sided show, MI won by 41 runs and lifted the IPL trophy for the second time.

It was a big day and big stage for skipper Rohit Sharma, who became the third skipper in IPL to lift the trophy for the second time after Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir. Rohit’s brilliant fifty helped MI post a humongous total of 202 for five in 20 overs. Once again, the West Indian duo: Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard contributing largely.

CSK never got any momentum during the chase and lost wickets at regular intervals as MI bowlers bowled perfectly to the plan.
