Twitterati compare South Africa's slow batting with things from their routine life
The fourth and the final Test between India and South Africa in Delhi turned out to be a humdinger. The nail-biting contest, which went into the final day with eight South African wickets intact, was decided eventually immediately after the Tea break.
The highlight of the visitors’ second innings was some seriously slow batting by their captain Hashim Amla, ‘Superman’ AB de Villiers and others, which at one point threatened to take the game away from India. But Indian bowlers, led by Ravichandran Ashwin, had the last laugh as the hosts pip the Proteas by 337 runs and won the series 3-0.
With South Africans blocking almost everything and displaying strong defense and intent to stay at the wicket, their innings crawled at snail’s pace. Twitterati took notice of the same and started comparing stuff from their routine life with South Africa’s slow batting. The tweets were followed by the tag #ThingsSlowerThanSA.
