Selection problems are often a happy dilemma but not expected Rohit Sharma to come into the side in place of Cheteshwar Pujara. The competition was in between Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan and Pujara but Rohit’s selection baffled many fans.
Rohit’s inclusion meant shuffle in the middle-order as team management did not want him to bat at No. 3 position. Captain Virat Kohli took that spot and fell for 3.
Pujara did look scratchy in the middle during his stay at the crease in the second Test as Jamaica, however, he lends a lot of solidity in the line-up. Rohit walked out to bat at No. 5 when the score was 77 for 3. Twitterati expressed their disappointment on this decision.
One of these days this Shobha De will say something about Rohit Sharma and all will be forgiven.#Olympics2016

Hopefully #Rohitsharma wouldn’t be in a hurry for Maggi today. All he needs to spend some quality time in the middle. #IndvsWI #WivsInd

Good to see Rohit Sharma play. Either he gives runs or he gives jokes, always brings something to the table.

Big innings this for Rohit Sharma. Team has backed his natural ability and given him a good batting position.

So @ImRo45 will bat at No 3 again. What an opportunity but I hope he makes it count. I hope Vijay was unfit, harsh to leave him out otherwise
